Businesswoman Penny Johnson is claiming a botched facial plastic surgery performed by Le Roux Fourie has cost her her career and the companionship of her husband. She is claiming that the surgeon was “playing God” and is suing him for 55 million pounds.

I have known LeRoux for several years. He has been on many Facing Africa reconstructive missions organised by our charity in Nigeria and Ethiopia. Apart from being one of the most dedicated and skilled surgeons that have volunteered to join our missions, if there is one thing I can say about LeRoux , he does not “play God”.
LeRoux gives his time, skills and experience in facial reconstruction on a purely voluntary basis and is one of the key “team players” in our missions. His dedication and willingness to help the poorest of the poor and the sickest of the sick in Africa is truly humbling.

I have known Mr Fourie for 14 years. I am a senior health professional who has worked with Mr Fourie on many occasions. In my opinion he is a highly skilled professional, who has consistently produced high standards of patient care outcomes, pre, intra. and post operatively. He shows impecable attention to detail, and maintains the individuality of his patients. I was fortunate to witness this first hand. I now counsel patients prior to surgery and I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Fourie.

I went to see Mr Fourie in 2003 to discuss liposuction. Right from the very start he was professional, kind and compassionate. He totally understood what I was seeking and I can put my hand on my heart and declare that he changed my life for the better after carrying out the procedure, I would not be the confident person I am today had I not paid him a visit. I cannot regard him highly enough and to say that he ‘played God’ I can only think that the lady in question is describing someone else. If I was to need any further surgery, I wouldn’t hesitate in contacting him once again.
