Slowly progressive torsion-type body movements; onset occurs in childhood. Patients usu. present with unilateral foot inversion, and eventually, condition involves entire extrapyramidal system. Autosomal variation is more severe and seen in Jews; autosomal dominant inheritance more benign. Treatment involves multimodality therapy (1-dopa, surgery, biofeedback), with disappointing results.
