Trans-hiatal esophagectomy; uses abdominal and left neck incisions to approach esophagus. After stomach has been mobilized and esophagus bluntly dissected free from above and below and resected, stomach is pulled up through chest and anastomosed via left neck incision. Right gastroepiploic artery is only vascular supply of stomach left intact.
