Pupillary accomodation without significant reaction; seen in optic nerve injury and possibly in congenital syphilis. Patient fixes gaze at a distance; light is then shone into normal eye, with contraction of both pupils; light is then moved to affected eye with brief dilation of both pupils; and finally, light is returned to normal eye and both pupils contract and remain that way.
