Variant of epidermolysis bullosa; bullae develop on head and extremities (usu. after trauma). Condition may be severe, leading to mutilation; associated with hypertrichosis, hyperhidrosis, scaly skin, and dystrophic nails. Inheritance may be autosomal dominant or autosomal recessive (Kallin syndrome). Treatment is corticosteroids, antibiotics, and avoidance of trauma.
