Triple H therapy or HHH therapy is a clinical strategy used to treat patients at risk of cerebral vasospasm. The most typical scenario is after brain aneurysm clipping or cerebrovascular accident.
The acronym stands for hypertensive, hypervolemic, and hyperosmolar. The patient is often placed on vasopressors, given supranormal amounts of intravenous fluids, and given hypertonic saline to achieve the desired state.
