The cremasteric reflex is the immediate elevation of the ipsilateral (i.e., same side) testicle upon stroking the inner medial thigh.
The sensory supply to the skin in the upper medial thigh is via the ilioinguinal and genitofemoral nerves. The cremaster muscle (i.e., motor function) is supplied by the genitofemoral nerve.
