Type A-stable, minimal displacement; type B1 (stage 1)-absence of posterior injury, symphysis pubis disruption < 2.5 cm; type B1 (stage 2)-unilateral disruption of symphysis pubis > 2.5 cm; type B1 (stage 3)-disruption of symphysis pubis > 2.5 cm, with disruption of bilateral sacrospinous and anterior sacroiliac ligament; type B2-lateral compression with posterior crush injury and anterior rami fracture; type B3 (bucket handle injury)-major anterior injury contralateral to major posterior injury; type C-fracture that is both rotational and vertically unstable.
