Used in aortic valve stenosis. Uses patient’s native pulmonary valve to replace diseased aortic valve (often genital bicuspid valve). Cadaver valve is then used to replace the transplanted pulmonary valve. Indicated in patients with greater than 20 years of life expectancy. Confers normal life expectancy and allows normal activities, including sports activities. No requirement for anti-coagulation.
