Technique for ureterocolic anastomosis. Groove of 2-3 cm is made in the antimesenteric tenia with the incision made through the muscularis and serosa but not the mucosa. A small opening is then made through the mucosa to allow urine to pass from the spatulated ureter into the colon lumen and seromuscular layer is then loosely reapproximated over the ureter.
