Ipsilateral facial anesthesia for pain and temperature changes and contralateral truncal anesthesia for pain and temperature; due to lesions in middle 1/3 of pons, causing crossed sensory paralysis. If lesion extends to motor nucleus of CNS and cerebellar peduncle, syndrome may be associated with ipsilateral mastication paralysis, ataxia, and tremor.
