Used to detect inferior shoulder instability. Patient stands with arm extended out to side and parallel to floor with hand resting on examinerÕs shoulder, and examiner clasps hands on arm just distal to deltoid and pushes down. If patient grimaces or looks apprehensive, anterior-inferior instability is present.
