Postinfective glomerulonephritis most commonly seen in boys 3Ð7 years of age but occurring in both sexes at any age; marked by backache, headache, oliguria, hematuria, and vomiting seen 10 days after upper airway infection (usu. streptococcal). 50% of adult patients develop chronic kidney disease.
