A court has ruled that a patient who received a $230,000 bill From Centura Health for spinal surgery is not responsibe for paying it after being told that her insurance company would pay for all but about $1300 of it. When the patient could not pay the surprise billing, she was sued by Centura Health, forcing the patient to file by bankruptcy.
