Teresa Heinz Kerry has been transferred from the small hospital on Nantucket to Massachusetts General Hospital in the Beacon Hill Section of Boston according to news reports.
Kerry apparently suffered what is being described as seizure-like symptoms at her home on Sunday and was admitted in critical condition. Her status is now listed as fair condition while undergoing further tests and evaluation
New onset seizures in a 74 year old woman is always worrisome for a brain tumor, either of primary origin such as an astrocytoma or of metastatic origin from a tumor known to show metastases to the brain such as breast cancer
Kerry was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 2009.
