Airborne/Contact precautions are used for patients with chickenpox, disseminated Herpes Zoster, or the presence of a suspected hemorrhagic fever such as Ebola.
Patients are placed in a negative pressure room with the door kept closed. All personnel entering the room must have an N95 mask, gown, and gloves.
