Dentists and Oral Surgeons Argue Over Pulling Non-symptomatic Wisdom Teeth
Dr. Jay W. Friedman, a retired dentist from California, has launched a campaign against the routine pulling of wisdom teeth, the third molar that develops in adolescence. Dr. Thomas B. Dodson, an oral surgeon from Massachusetts General Hospital, says there is good reason for wisdom teeth to be pulled before they cause trouble.
Surgeon Accused Of Fourteen Medical Negligence Events In Last Two Years
The fourteenth medical malpractice suit in the last two years was filed against Oklahoma City surgeon Dr. Paul Francel. He has agreed to not practice medicine while he is being investigated by the state board of medicine. He has also been named in a wrongful death suit stemming from his care of a 16 year-old boy in 2006.
