Woman In China Seeks Beauty Perfection Through 70 Plastic Surgery Operations
A 34 year old woman from Singapore has decided to devote her life to becoming the ideal beauty and has undergone 70 plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures in the last three years. With a philosophy that might give plastic surgery a bad name, Chinese surgeons apparently had few qualms about performing this series of operations.
Parents Blame Physician and On-line Pharmacy for Son’s Suicide
In one of the first lawsuits of its kind, the recently divorced parents of a 19 year-old Stanford student are suing the physician Christian Hagaseth and the pharmacies USAnetRX.com and Gruich Pharmacy Shoppe who approved and filled the internet request of John McKay for the antidepressant fluoxetine (Prozac). To obtain the
medication, he filled out a form saying that he (falsely) had been on the depression medication before and was not suicidal. The mother said her son may have had a obsessive-compulsive disorder but had not been under any recent psychiatric or psychological treatment. The parents apparently believe that neither their son nor the drug manufacturer are responsible for the suicide.
