Physical findings are generally not considered to be reliable when assessing the severity of abdominal compartment syndrome and the need for surgical decompression.<\/p>\n

While manifestations of abdominal compartment syndrome can occur at a pressure as low as 15 mmHg, decompression should strongly be considered if the bladder pressure is measured at 35 mmHg or higher or if signs of organ hypoperfusion are present (decreased urine output, rising serum lactic acid, hypoxia, difficulty ventilating.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
