An anaplastic chromosome configuration that persists in interphase; telomeres and centromeres are at opposite poles of the nuclei and the chromosome arms are arranged side-by-side. The telomores clustered at one end are adjacent to the telomeres clustered at one pole of the nucleus of the daughter cell.
