Technique of bladder neck reconstruction most commonly used in children. Ureters are detached and reimplanted superiorly in crisscross manner, and 7 _ 2-cm anterior vertical bladder wall flap is made with matching 7 _ 2-cm vertical incision in trigone mucosa, with mucosal flaps raised sufficiently to suture it to mucosa of anterior flap to form cylinder. Cephalad end is then ÒmaturedÓ by tacking it to trigone mucosa, and anterior muscle wall is closed. If bladder enlargement is needed, portion of bowel is used to create new bladder dome.
