Surgical repair for acute closed rupture of calcaneus tendon. Small stab wounds are made 2.5 cm proximal to the proximal end of the rupture, the tendon is dissected from the subcutaneous tissue, a straight needle is used to puncture the tendon and then is passed back in a crisscross manner on the proximal rupture. A second suture is placed distal to the rupture through small stab wounds and the two sutures are tied together to cinch the ruptured ends together.
