Development of continuous muscle fiber activity (myokymia) in infancy; associated with episodic cyanosis. Increased muscle tone does not remit in sleep. Condition partially resolves as child ages but often results in transient stiffness after movement is initiated. Disorder is autosomal dominant and affects both sexes equally. Treatment is phenytoin, with good results.
