Unilateral lesion (tumor, infection, hemorrhagic) in parietal lobe causing abnormality of vibration, temperature, tactile, and pain sensation; also associated with tactile agnosia, aphasia, and Gerstmann syndrome if dominant lobe is involved and anagnosia if nondominant lobe is involved.
