Aortic regurgitation, usu. due to bicuspid aortic valve and frequently asymptomatic until adulthood; congenital condition much more prevalent in males. Condition manifests with subtle weakness, lethargy, and sensation of neck pulsation, or less commonly with acute onset of cardiac failure; often associated with other cardiac malformations. Required treatment for correction is surgery.
