Hepatosplenomegaly and scaly skin developing in infancy; delayed onset of nystagmus, cataracts, and gait problems. Etiology is intracellular buildup of triglyceride due to impaired long-chain fatty acid oxidation. Leukocytes show vacuolation (Jordan anomaly). Treatment is medium-chain triglyceride diet.
