Anomalous origin of left coronary artery from pulmonary artery, resulting in no clinical sequelae at birth but development of myocardial ischemia as infant. If inadequate coronary artery circulation occurs, lesion progresses to death; otherwise symptoms improve, with development of left heart dilatation, mitral insufficiency, arrhythmias, and coronary artery steal syndrome.
