Surgical treatment for pilonidal cyst. Buttocks are pushed together and marked at point of contact and then taped apart. Unhealed tract is then incised via a triangular resection off the midline. Skin flaps are then raised out to the previously marked lines and then reapproximated after the tape is removed. Procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis with a 3%-4% recurrence rate.
