Patient positioning technique to provide anteroposterior and lateral projections of the acromoclavicular joint; usu. used in suspected subluxation. Anteroposterior views are obtained by having a standing patient pin shoulders against film plate on the wall. The central rays is at nipple level with an upward tilt of 15 degrees. The lateral project is obtained by having patient face the wall with the hand on affected side placed in contralateral axilla. The patient then rotates 30 degrees clockwise with the central ray through the coracoid process at an angle of 15 degrees toward the feet.
