Osmotec, a new product being developed by Medtric Biotech, LLC, may be able to reduce the incidence of wound infections without the use of the currently deployed substances such as antibiotics or silver ions.

The developers at Purdue University claim that the product, which is being developed in spray, pad, and gel forms is effective against even multi-drug resistant organisms and in pre-clinical animal trials has shown to actively promote wound healing.
The product was recently highlighted at the OpenMinds exhibition.
