A new study of Kaiser Permanente patients just published is reporting that patients that have unrestricted email access to their physicians see improvements in chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, but suggests that physicians may be reluctant to spend the time developing these communication patterns because they lack financial incentives to do so.
