Chrissy Steltz was grievously injured by a shotgun blast to the face 11 years ago, losing her eyes, nose, and sense of smell. Now the mother to a one year old boy, she wanted her son to be able to grow up looking at an actual face, rather than the black sleep shield she wore to cover her wounds. Working from old photographs, oral and maxillofacial surgeons have built a prosthetic face that is surprisingly life-like.
