Yemeni Surgeon To Be Released from Gitmo
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ayman Batarfi has been cleared for release from the detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba under the new directive by the Obama administration to close the prison. Batarfi, a Yemeni, has been detained since 2002 for allegedly treating wound al-Qaida in the action around Tora Bora.
