University Of Michigan Halts Use of Dogs to Train Surgeons
The University of Michigan has announced they are suspending the use of live dogs to facilitate training of trauma surgeons. This action is a response in part to a complaint filed by Dr. John Pippen of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine against the decision by Dr. Richard Burney to use dogs over a computer simulator.
