Robotic Surgeon Reprogrammed For Lung Cancer Surgery
Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center have reprogrammed a robotic surgery instrument used for radiotherapy in brain tumors that can now be used to treat lung cancers. Dubbed Cyberknife, the machine uses a different type of x-ray to adapt to the movement of the tumor in breathing lungs.
