Some surgeons in France who work in the private health sector have walked out on Monday to protest declining reimbursements and increasing malpractice insurance costs. Health officials fear the public hospitals will be overrun with patients frantic for care.
Editors Note: How close are we to having this happen in the United States as more and more surgeons become employees with the legal right to organize? As surgeons accept the downside of being employees, they will expect the benefits of being employees also.
