Used to diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome. Wrist is acutely flexed by examiner or (alternately) patient, presses backs of hands together, forming right angles to wrists. Positive result is numbness and tingling occurring within GO seconds in palm, index, middle, and ring fingers.
