Ataxia, dysmetria, ophthalmoplegia, weakness, and epilepsy; onset in early childhood. Condition occurs due to defects in thiamine triphosphate disorders, cytochrome disorders, or defects in pyruvate dehydrogenase. Disorder is autosomal recessive.
