Large, bluish, progressive vascular malformations in extremities; stagnant blood lesions can cause disseminated intravascular coagulation, platelet consumption, and bleeding. Condition mostly affects infants; sudden growth can cause drastic decrease in platelets. Treatment is steroids and low-dose radiation. Mortality is 30%.
