Uterine suspension technique to prevent adhesions from forming on denuded peritoneal surfaces; has unknown efficacy on increasing fertility. After peritoneal cavity is entered through small incision, 2Ð0 chromic suture is looped around round ligament 3Ð4 cm from uterus, and Kelly clamp is placed through internal ring. Chromic suture and round ligament are then brought through internal ring, outside peritoneal cavity, and are sutured to rectus sheath (without encircling it); same technique is performed on other side.
