Describes orientation of femoral head to neck and acetabulum after fracture. Type 1, femoral head crushed and rotated counterclockwise in relation to neck and acetabulum; type 2, head is crushed and rotated clockwise in relation to neck and acetabulum; type 3, head is relatively intact and rotated clockwise between 45 degrees and 90 degrees; type 4, head is crushed but relatively non-rotated.
