Unilateral flushing of face, sweating of cheek and ear lobe and decreased heat sensation; due to injury to parotid gland. When present, condition can be elicited by eating chocolate or hot, spicy food. Previous treatment was procaine injection into auriculo-temporal nerve at tragus. One current treatment involves botulinum injection.
