Ipsilateral paralysis of soft palate, larynx, and pharynx with contralateral loss of temperature and pain sensation; seen after thrombosis of vertebral artery or brainstem lesion. Ipsilateral Horner and contralateral corticospinal tract paralysis may result from involvement of spinothalamic tract, nucleus ambiguus, and bulbar nucleus of accessory nerve.
