Contact infection (can be congenital) of external eye causing tearing, eyelid edema and spasm, photophobia, mucous discharge, conjunctival blebs, and corneal scarring and opacities. Cause is Chlamydia trachomatis, Lymphogranuloma venereum, or Bartonella. Treatment is topical antibiotics and tetracycline.
