Dr. Mark Ryan, managing director of the Louisiana Poison Center, is sounding the alarm about the risk of poisonous snake bites to oil spill cleanup workers working in the swamps and marshes of Louisiana. Of particular concern are water moccasins, copperheads, rattlesnakes, and the highly venomous eastern coral snake.
